Lemon juice is a natural bleaching agent, so is great for removing stains. You can remove marks from a chopping board by rubbing them with lemon juice and leaving overnight.

Washing soda crystals! Excellent multi-purpose cleaner and very economical. Perfect aid to laundry cleaning, removes smells from washing machines & cleans sinks/drains/surfaces

For a fresh-smelling carpet crush 1/2 cup of lavender flowers to release their scent, then mix with 1 cup of baking soda and sprinkle liberally on carpet. Leave for 30 mins, then vacuum.

Silver polish? Apply white toothpaste to surface of silver with old soft-bristle toothbrush & gently scrub away the tarnish. Rinse with warm water and dry immediately with a soft cloth.
